Northwell Health’s collection policy includes information on the actions, processes and timeframes Northwell uses to obtain payment, including the reasonable efforts it will make to determine whether an individual is eligible under this financial assistance policy before initiating any extraordinary collection action (ECA). The purpose of this policy is to reasonably balance the need for financial stewardship with needs of individuals who are unable or unwilling to pay their accounts.
