The Cancer Rehabilitation Program at Northwell Health Rehabilitation Network provides patients with results-oriented, comprehensive rehabilitation services. We use a team-based approach, collaborating across many disciplines to maximize independence, increase function and improve quality of life following cancer and treatment. Our physicians will create a customized treatment plan to help you recover from any functional challenges you’ve developed through your cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Your treatment plan may include:
- Amputation care from Northwell Limb Care
- Bracing/orthotics for weakness
- Counseling
- Electrodiagnostic testing for nerve and/or muscle problems
- Joint and trigger-point injections
- Lymphedema therapy
- Nutrition referral
- Pain management
- Referral to physical, occupational, and speech and swallow therapies
