Programs & services

Northwell rheumatologists see patients in ambulatory sites throughout the metropolitan area. Consultative care is also administered to inpatients in our major affiliated hospitals. Several of our sites have capabilities for infusion therapy, as well as opportunities for many different types of research studies ranging from observational to interventional studies with experimental therapies. Research is necessary to further advance the field in an effort to better understand rheumatic diseases and to develop treatments that improve patients' lives.

With clinical research being a focus for many of our rheumatologists, we have established specialized programs that integrate research and patient care. Such dedicated research centers include:

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Autoimmune Disease Treatment Center—Specializes in treating all facets of lupus and related autoimmune diseases
